Retreat at Vijay Chowk
Republic Day celebrations culminated with the Beating Retreat at Vijay Chowk this evening.
A number of military and massed bands performed with their bagpipes, horns and drums.
The ceremony traces its origins to the early 1950s when Major Roberts of Indian Army, indigenously developed the unique ceremony of display by the massed bands.
The singing of the National Anthem and the unfurling of the Tricolour signalled the start of a spectacle that held the audience spell-bound for one hour. Indian tunes were the flavour of the ceremony. Out of 21 performances, 18 were composed by Indian musicians. 10 new compositions were played for the first time. The Army played - Jahan Daal Daal Pe Sone ki Chidiya, Swarnim Desh, Blessing of the God and Dhruv. Other than ‘Abide with Me’ and ‘Sare Jahan Se Accha’, rest of the tunes were played after a gap of six years.
A galaxy of dignitaries including President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Union Cabinet Ministers, senior BJP leader L K Advani and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal witnessed the ceremony.

Golisoda Review
Goli Soda: 3.25/5
In-short: Really a mind refreshing soda.
You pay for soda and director gave a cocktail for your refreshment (Set your expectation low to have complete fun)
Review:
Movie start with very similarly like all other children based subject. Innocent love and fun that children make with annachi though they were on miserable sorrow of being orphan were awesome.
There will be sudden transformation in the script which will make you to pray that nothing should happen bad to this children. Love, sentiment, action, vengeance, action and mother care everything was of a perfect mixture and nothing you feel as too much.
Director has kept the audience completely engaged in guessing what is next ?. A simple one line story was said scripted brilliantly with fabulous screenplay.
Dialogues were exceptionally natural and scenes chosen for the script was awesome. Nothing will make you feel bored. Here and there will be some flaws still a must welcome movie for all type of audience.
Entire crew has done a fabulous job and casting was awesome. Apart from Children Sujatha Character (aachi) has done phenomenal job.
Positive:
Vijay Milton has to be given complete credit for coming up with such an excellent screenplay and plot; this could have been a documentary if someone else has taken.
Stunts is another important factor for the movie, very natural property used for stunts and choreographed with complete intensity
Cinematography was too good and reality in capturing the events happening in koyambedu were splendid
Acting of all junior artists were awesome again they have proved.
BGM was adding support here and there
Annachi Jokes were stress bursting
Negative:
Songs were very poor and certain comedy scenes didn’t work out well.
